I know everyone is having fun posting animated gifs in their signatures, but some of you are forgetting that the board has a size limit for signature images. Lately, many of the images that are posted in signatures are exceeding the height limit.
The maximum size allowed for signature images is
200 px in height and
600 px in width, which is a very generous size in comparison to many forums.
We haven't set signature limits to be mean. Your signature appears every time you make a post. Large signatures increase a page's load time, make the board look messy, and can be an unwelcome distraction from the subject of the thread.
If anyone's signature exceeds 200 (height) x 600 (width), the image tags will be removed and a text link to the pic will show in its place.
