this fix.
Invisible or Disappearing Furniture in Furnished ApartmentsThere appears to be a bug with AL when trying to make your sim rent a furnished apartment. If the furniture becomes invisible, you can try the following fix...
1. Enter the
UNOCCUPIED lot (move all sims out) and change the zoning to residential (use the cheat: changeLotZoning residential). Save and exit the lot.
2. Reenter the lot and replace all the apartment doors with regular doors. Save and exit the lot.
3. Reenter the lot and replace the regular doors with apartment doors so that it looks like it originally did. Remember to make sure the floor mats on apartment doors are facing OUTSIDE the apartment.
4. Change the zoning back to an apartment lot (use the cheat: changeLotZoning apartmentbase). Save and go back to the neighborhood.
5. Move your family back in
6A. To rent a furnished apartment, use the cheat (boolprop testingcheatsenabled true, shift + click on apartment door, choose "rent furnished apartment").
Don't forget to turn the cheat off when you're done. OR...
6B. You can install
this awesome hack to rent furnished apartments without the need to use cheats. When you click on the apartment door, you'll get two price options for the rental. The higher of the two prices is for the furnished apartment.
Your furniture should appear now.
